YOU ARE INVITED
to help some very special people who need you very badly
|
|
· To help improve the living conditions of very needy families and to help build schools, clinics, and to provide disaster relief,
· To see first-hand how the international charitable works of The GOD’S CHILD Project and supported national charities, and
· To learn about Guatemala, El Salvador, Malawi (Africa), and the United States of America
Join A Volunteer ServiceTeam
A ServiceTeam experience provides a chance for you to change lives through a meaningful volunteer-centered vacation. Part of your trip will be spent working on simple, yet life-changing home-improvement projects such as building simple homes, pouring concrete floors in shacks (to reduce illness and infection), or laying water pipes along a mountainside trail, for example. No construction experience or Spanish (Central America) or Chichewa (Malawi, Africa) is necessary (even though a willingness to get dirty is).
Explore a New Way Of Helping Others
Our children and staff will welcome you. Enjoy an informal picnic lunch with the children and their families. Visit the families in their homes and the children in their classrooms. Experience what makes the Asociación Nuestros Ahijados such a unique, internationally respected model program.
Enjoy the Cultural Diversity and Natural Wonders
For travelers interested in gaining a realistic sense of life in Guatemala, special and optional excursions are part of each ServiceTeam experience. Visit Lake Atitlan, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world surrounded by towering volcanoes and vibrant Indian villages. Visit Chichicastenango, a centuries old Indian highland pueblo with one of the best outdoor traditional arts and crafts markets in Central America. Native handicrafts from around the country can be purchased here. Explore ancient and mysterious Tikal pyramids in the northern tropical jungles of El Peten. Follow the natural jungle trails.
